Bethel
Bethel

BCS members worship in bethels (Churches) as in genesis 28:11-22. The true meaning of church is “body of a person, which is where God dwells, and not a building or premises” Bethel means “the house of God” “the gates of heaven” and “the place of refuge”Bethes are open 24 hours throughout the year (Rev.7:15, 21:25).They are name after the places of location for the purpose of easy identification and location by members There are basically two categories of battles that is the Pentecostal centers of the non-Pentecostal centers. Pentecostal centers operates as bethels however during Pentecostal period, non-Pentecostal centers are closed down while members converge for worship at the Pentecostal centers throughout such period.. Pentecostal periods in brotherhood of the cross and star hold three times in in a year ( i.e. The April,  August and December Pentecostal). Pentecostal centers are associated with zones and are opened and exist as to bring Pentecostal activities and blessings nearer to Brethren in their given geographical locations and jurisdictions. Also sub-Pentecostal centers are sometimes opened considering proximity

Going barefoot

It is a practice in BCS that members must not put on footwear or shoes into bethels or any other gathering of the brotherhood of the cross and star. This is in recognition of the Holiness of the divine sanctuary of God and the purity of his presence. The Scriptures corroborated these as it is recorded. “Then said the Lord to him put off thy shoes from thy feet for the place where thou standest  is holy ground (Acts 7:33, Exo. 3:4-5) And whenever one puts on the white soutane, one is expected to go on a barefoot this is so, because God is holy and all who worship him “ must worship him in spirit and in truth” (Josh 5:15; 1 Chron. 6:29; John 4:23-24; Rom. 10:14-15)
